Need You Now

Ever have that undeniable gnawing in the pit of your gut at three in the morning? When you become weak and unrehearsed? When you just need a sweet reminder of the past? Ever fall apart in the dark, and need someone to show you the light? Even if it's just for one night? That's what happens when I realize I need you.

I Just Needed You

I tried to fix you

with everything I had.

I held on so strongly

with every fiber in my hands.

I forgave every mistake

with eyes that could ignore

the fact that you broke me;

you had done this before.

I just needed you

more than I'd like to

say.

I just needed you

more than I'd like to

can't you just please stay?

For one more hour

let's pretend this will work

for one more hour

let's mend every hurt,

every tear, every rip

in our little heart bits.

I just needed you

and it tore me apart

I just needed you

to light up the dark.

"It's a quarter after one, I'm a little drunk and I need you now."

Simply Me

To quote a country song, "I don't want the whole world."
I don't.
I just want to be a part of it. And, the way I play my part is by writing. Some may call me a writer, but I just call me me. That's it, simply me.

Give My Regards To

Sometimes,

I sit and run my fingers along the brim of my coffee cup.

I move them in circles after circles,

Feeling the warmth of the steam on my skin.

I do it over and over again,

Until I forget why I started.

Sometimes,

I fall back

Into your arms

Even though I know,

You haven’t always caught me.

I do it over and over again,                                                   

Until I forget why I started.

Now, I'm not considered a professional by any means. I'm just an amateur that views the world through her own kaleidoscope.. then writes it down of course.
